by corinna
but a privateer
with visions of blackbeard and captain kidd
legends pedestalised
on seas sailed high and conquered
in the golden age
but a pirate with papers
allegiance not to the salty depths
what a shame
for the waves call
and the horizon sings
my heart sings too
a song of the caribbean and mediterranean
i must cross the atlantic
past the isthmuses and tombolos
not all who wander are lost
but i am lost, i am free
to wander lost
till the waves take me home
